@SEZ9 — yes, the log-length guard is on current head `c959fd1989`: `AbstractMysqlCDCITBase.java:267-279`, specifically line 275, uses `substring(Math.min(logOffset, serverLogs.length()))` inside the Awaitility lambda. A shorter log therefore yields an empty suffix/no match and retries rather than throwing StringIndexOutOfBoundsException. This is defensive handling; the earlier passing run did not force log rotation, so I am not claiming that path was exercised.
