Thanks for the review. Fixed in d220e5b436: - Fenced-delete retry exhaustion now logs and preserves the registration instead of returning a conflict after a successful external drop. - Iceberg table/view drops observe the registration before the backend call and use an identity-fenced delete. - The four import paths reuse the existing fenced write helper, so a replacement cannot inherit the stale registration's ID. Schema cleanup remains conservative when absence cannot be confirmed. I kept the two-call replacement to limit scope, documented the limitation, and tested recovery after an insert failure. Validation: 98 core tests and 58 Iceberg hook tests passed, plus Spotless, core Javadoc, and `git diff --check`. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
