Michael Semb Wever commented on CASSANDRA-16956:
------------------------------------------------
The {{doc/source/configuration/cass_yaml_file.rst}} file no longer exists. All
rst files have been rewritten to adoc (asciidoc) files. But that particular
file is now generated by {{doc/scripts/convert_yaml_to_adoc.py}}. So a rebase
is warranted (and new CI runs).
The comment in {{SSTableLoaderTest.java}} seems like something that should
stay. (I agree with Josh, comments should be updated to say windows support no
longer exists where it is unclear whether we are cleaning up the code.)
bq. I just have that nagging feeling some rpm or other release build job might
break.
Packaging is done in the jenkin's artifact stage job, so all good on that front
with the above CI runs.
And I see nothing here that will have any impact on the release scripts.

> To continue the work CASSANDRA-16171 began, now that Windows support is no
> more there are some source files that can be removed.
> Just doing a naive grep on the source directory I see:
> {noformat}
> src/java/org/apache/cassandra/db/WindowsFailedSnapshotTracker.java
> src/java/org/apache/cassandra/utils/NativeLibraryWindows.java
> src/java/org/apache/cassandra/utils/WindowsTimer.java
> {noformat}
