In my case, I have been using Objective C extensively for over 5 years. I don't use it everywhere I *could* (other messages provide explanation), but I do believe I understand it well enough back up my statements and observations. I *would* say I am better with nontrivial C++ designs -- a portion of that is undeniably attributed to the additional control and power provided by a more extensive language. I knew enough at the time to take every suggestion that has been made into consideration. Having said that, I don't believe this supports your suspicion.
