Hello Listers, I’m appealing for the list’s wisdom on this subject.
Grenadine was painted 7.5 years ago with red Interlux Brightside, three or four coats rolled and tipped, successively thinned and wet sanded with each coat. She looked fantastic! But the paint has oxidized noticeably over the last couple years in the high-altitude sun, despite the fact that I wax her every spring, sometimes twice a year, and she’s in the shade on the hard every winter. I’m not ready to spring for a new paint job yet, but I am willing to attempt a multi-step restoration job involving cutting compound, etc. I have random orbit dual-action polishers at my disposal, and crew to help. What I’d like to know is whether anyone can recommend good products and processes to get her back to that newly-painted look. Many thanks in advance.
