I tried to share this folder before but I don't think the email went through on my end. It shows lots of pictures from when I had my mast rebuilt.

Particularly the 4 spots on the mast between the vang fitting and the mast fitting. Those are almost certainly from a previous instrument package. The large hole accommodated the signal cable. The 9 pin connector seems appropriate for a radar. Is there any evidence of a radar having been installed? It could also be some sort of a make shift quick disconnect for the mast lights/electronics. Ken got the VHF connector. I agree with the boom lift too. You can see the amsteel boom lift I made for mine in the link below. The original was coated wire rope. I replaced with 1/8" amsteel and locked brummel eye-splices on both ends. The bottom splice stops at roughly boom height at the mast and 2' above the boom at the aft end. The lift has a fiddle block and the height of the boom is adjusted with a control line at the boom end. The control line anchors on one side of the boom, passes through the turning block, and cleats on the other side of the boom. I use the standing part of the control line to anchor off my sail pack. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YMMoLD2wc5La5fszPypGPtZNHKhNeAt6/view?usp=sharing Josh Muckley S/V Sea Hawk 1989 C&C 37+ Solomons, MD https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YMMoLD2wc5La5fszPypGPtZNHKhNeAt6/view?usp=sharing On Sat, Jul 5, 2025 at 12:31 PM Ken Heaton via CnC-List < cnc-list@cnc-list.com> wrote: > Suggested answers inserted below. > > Ken H. > > On Sat, 5 Jul 2025 at 13:08, Languid Refiner via CnC-List < > cnc-list@cnc-list.com> wrote: > >> Hey Guys, >> >> I have attached a link to some photos that will help explain my following >> questions. >> >> Link to photos: >> https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1l7q29GaTZjlNf3Eu1MZVM_xt8V7EEX7y >> >> Question 1: Does anyone know what the 9 pin connector is used for that is >> located near the hole in the ceiling for the mast?
