You may also want to replace the chain. When I replaced mine, I found on close inspection that one of the links had a crack in it. BTW, not to take anything away from the folks at Edson, you can get 7x19 stainless steel cable and Nicopress fittings at West Marine to make your own cables and the chain from McMaster Carr and combined it will be less than half the price.
