When I changed from a 155 to a 135 genoa, I gained six seconds in PHRF with no significant change in speed. Next I changed to a 110% genoa. I gained another three seconds, slight decrease in speed, but I was able to point five degrees higher. I was able to point higher than everyone else in the fleet, getting to the windward mark a lot sooner than before switching to a 110.
