Months ago I asked for help on this list finding insurance. It seems that
many companies don't wish to insure boats built in the 80s, especially for
trips to the Caribbean.

On the advice of Bruce Whitmore, I contacted Wells Marine in North Carolina.
Their broker, Jason Riley, found me a policy with better coverage than
BoatUS Geico, and with a premium at 28% of the Geico's cost. And any
company has to give better service on claims than Geico. I would pay more
just to avoid doing business with them again.

I ended up getting a policy for coastal sailing, since I'm not sure when/if
I'll head to the Caribbean. The policy Jason found with the Caribbean rider
was the same price as Geico's without it.

I just thought I'd pass on the information and good news!
