Joe I lived in Montreal for a while and made the trip from there to the Thousand Islands four times in a Tanzer 26 with a 9.9hp strapped to the transom. The current is very strong in several places, up to 4 - 4.5 knots. A times I thought I was go I get backwards😜. I also went out the St. Lawrence in 2014 on my way to the Bahamas. It’s easy to do 10 knots maybe more. Did 13.1 motor sailing with the current around Tadoussac.
