Got it that different era boats may have different models of many support systems. However, without knowing such details sometimes advice to others doesn’t apply to their system. BTW, my boat was delivered new in 1995 to Harve de Grace and still has the original pedestal (AFAIK!) with the thru shaft brake system. Charlie Nelson
