Yeah that is a very good price! The "better soft shackle" has 2 "improvements". First, the shackle eye is limited in amount of eye size which can be expanded. This can help further secure the diamond knot from flogging loose. When you make them yourself you can tweak this parameter. Second, the tails of the diamond knot are tapered into the shackle. You don't need to melt seal the ends. This is less significant but it does present a very neat and orderly appearance that makes you ask, "How did you make that? Where is the end."
