Most of the control cables are replaceable with teleflex cables available
at many chandlers. I suggest removing the old ones first to get an idea of
the length. When you remove then make sure to pull a fish tape in their
place for easy reinstall. I needed to remove my steering pedestal in order
to properly access the cables. You might be able to jimmy them without
this step. If you do it is a great time to replace your steering chain and
cable.
