I have done this a couple of ways – with a 3 way valve, and with a tee where I shut the thru hull and open a valve on a piece of hose into the antifreeze ….. both work well. I also have an extra piece of hose I can put over the side if the thru hull plugs while I clear it ….

Has anyone done this? Any disadvantages? What type of valve did you use? All the best, Edd Edd M.
