Here is what I did a few years back, not sure if still available.JimSubject: RE: waste holding tanksDate: Thu, 13 May 2010 11:22:27 -0400Just an fyi to the group...Replacing my holding tank located under the v berth. was a Nauta flexable tank and the ultimate source of my head odors. Tank was a 1991 so guess it did its job.Prefer a hard tank and looked at all the typical stock units available. Then came across Raritan Engineering. They have a catalog on line of about 50 "custom tank molds" Mold #13B102 is a perfect fit, 13 gals. They deal directly with the public via the web site for the tank orders, you specify the mold #, and fax then a sketch of where and what size connections you would like put in.$268 including shipping. Takes 2 1/2 weeks. Actually cheaper than the bladder tank replacement would of been.Just figured I would share the resource with the group.Yes they are the same company that makes the marine heads and HW heaters.JimGalaxy 34'1982 Date: Sun, 30 Aug 2015 11:34:10 -0400 To: cnc-list@cnc-list.com Subject: Re: Stus-List Replacement Holding Tank - 1982 C&C 34 From: cnc-list@cnc-list.com CC: phorv...@gmail.com
I was told 3 way valves are a source of cloggs. Have an extra tank fitting and a marcerator pump for overboard discharge. It's been 12 troublefree years since I installed my tank. I didn't have a tank before that. I could try to get it plastic-welded, but likely the best route for a winter project will be to replace the tank, and the hoses & 3-way valve while I'm at it. Replacement tanks were discussed some months back, but I'm not finding it in the archive. So... Where do I get the tank dimensions (and I will confirm when I remove the current tank). Where do I go to purchase a replacement tank? I remember a couple of companies were recommended.Ideally someone who would have the tank as an off-the shelf item?
