The old rule for our boats was "keep the power up front."I believe you'd have been better off with the small jib and reefed main.These boats used to have 170s before PHRF set the free limit at 155%.My boat had a bullet proof low hoist 150 as the smallest sail and a 160 for normal sailiing when I bought it 20yrs ago.RonWild CheriC&C 30-1STL
