You might want to explore a bladder tank. I know we boaters have a serious mindset towards hard tanks but diesel bladder tanks are quite reliable and can be custom made.
Can you cut the top off your existing tank, patch the holes with JB Weld or similar then drop in a custom bladder tank? The existing tank would then become a containment for the bladder. Dennis C.
