Nate Had the same issue last week on my Yanmar 3GM30F with a B Type engine panel. Was getting near complete voltage drop across the 2 terminals of the key switch when the key was turned on and nothing from the button. Turned out to be the wiring harness plug at the back of the panel. Most of the wires were corroded inside the plug though all looked well from the outside. The plug was cut out and the wires connected directly. Works like a charm.
So as Dave said, check all your wiring in the start circuit before you start throwing $$$ at it replacing parts. I have an original in perfect working condition if catch my drift... Check your battery ground/cabling/connections. Let me know if it is the switch and if so, you can have it.
