I use SuperLube, a food grade, synthetic you can find at McMasterCarr or some 
hardware stores. Supposed to be OK with plastics or any materials.

If it's a bearing, it's plastic, probably Delrin (Acetal). Teflon grease is 
wax-based, so safe on either. Star Brite has a tub of Teflon grease for not too
