Fred, and others... I located the fitting on my boat and it appears to 
rusted..I'm almost afraid to touch it as it seems it might fall off, any 
thoughts on what I should do? Thanks

I just use a good waterproof grease like Lubriplate.  Seems to work just fine.


And probably a good idea to keep these discussion “on-list” so others can chime
