Actually that Honda isn't pretty quiet, it's damned quiet - as are the Yamaha 
and Hyundai equivalents - I used to have a Yamaha. The dab rating of the Honda 
at 50 percent power and 10 feet is actually lower than the OSHA recommendation 
for the office most folks work in (you learn some obscure crap when your 
engineering group is responsible for OSHA/WHIMIS compliance).

I've sat in the cockpit of a cruising friends boat and had a quiet conversation 
while his Honda ticked away on the transom.

That said, when you're powering your 7500 BTU AC and using 95 percent power, or 
I even idling in a 30 dB anchorage, even a Honda can be loud. So common 
courtesy is always in order.
