Nah - the A4 is a strictly marine engine with no relationship at all to other
engines in land vehicles. The way the flywheel and tranny are set up it cannot
possibly be used for anything but a boat. Its ancestor is the "Utility Four"
widely used in WWII in various types of small craft.

Agree about marine vs non-marine but I always heard the block was similar and
had common parts.

Be VERY careful about using non-marine parts in a boat. Tractor parts such as
carburetors, voltage regulators, and alternators lack the fire and spark
suppression of marine parts. It matters.
