Absolutely. I think that hours of heat on that hose/mixer elbow connection makes it impossible to remove without cutting it off. I keep a section of 2" exhaust hose stuck in the back of the boat, just in case I need to do it again. Maybe next time I'll try some Permatex #2 gasket sealant, which handles extended high temps without getting crusty. There's always something new to try and figure out.
