Quincy Bay shouldn't be too bad for wind (it will be very shifty with wind off 
the land), but there is current to contend with - nothing too complicated, but 
you should understand which direction it flows during flood and ebb through the 
three entrances to the bay; the bridge to Long Island, through West Gut towards 
Hingham or straight out the harbor and where the deep channels are.  If you're 
at Savin Hill, they may set courses in Presidents Roads (off the airport), or 
maybe outside Deer Island.  Take a look at www.hbphrf.org and pull up the race 
handbook; there's a good description on page 10 of wind conditions in Hingham 
Bay that should translate well to the bay over.  Thunderation and Mysterious 
Ways were always fun to race against.
