Hi, I want second the thanks to all for the great advise on unstepping the mast. I have in the background enjoying the inputs from everyone. I am planning on unstepping my mast soon. I originally had two big concerns, one was regarding the roller furling system (less of a concern now), but the other is the spartite-like mast collar. I really hope there was plenty of release Vaseline used during the initial install(before me). Has anyone come across any spartite mast problems? If so, what was the best way to cut through this material?
