Fred — if you’re in a position to get a new autopilot course computer, I’d recommend it. The new ones from Raymarine are nice; I can price you one at my cost, if you’d like. You’ll also need to get a new control head, as the older ones don’t have the functionality to program the new course computers.
Otherwise, there’s a guy in Colorado who just did a repair on a 300 course computer for an acquaintance of mine; a couple hundred bucks, and now the drive transistors are working again. I’ll try to get his contact info for you.
