Jim:

I am not aware of any 'weak spots' on the 32's and I believe their hulls are not cored. The 33-II have had issues with the keel sump......tell you friend to pay close attention to it.

I have sailed both boats....the 33-II is no doubt the faster of the two.

From the listings, it is almost impossible to pick one. The 32 looks to be in great condition.....there is lots of info, including engine hours, and the listing says the boat was 'professionally maintained'. If it was anything like mine was, the boat will indeed be a 'turnkey' acquisition.

There is very little info on the 33-II and fewer pictures. Had to determine the overall condition of the boat and inventory.

My assessment just from the two listings is that I would be biased. A survey of both boats might be in order......at those prices, a buyer should be able to have both surveyed.

All,

A friend of mine has been looking for a boat for some time. He wants a true racer/cruiser that will compete around the buoys but still allow for comfort at the dock and on cruises. He has looked at a lot of boats, but not much has ticked all his boxes at a reasonable price point. He is currently considering a couple of C&C's a 32 and 33-2. I told him that I would tap the vast wisdom of the list for advantages and disadvantages of these two models, things to watch for in his inspections and any red flags on these particular boats. Thanks in advance for any help you are willing to provide.

The 32 is here:

This is the 33-2
