I am changing the bellows on a PYI dripless "stuffing box" and need to keep the prop shaft from turning in order to loosen the bolts connecting the shaft to the transmission. Putting the transmission in gear makes it harder to turn, but it is still not enough to keep it from turning so I can loosen the bolts. Obviously not specific to CC boats, but probably many people on this list know how to do this without damaging things.
