Just a couple more notes on waterproofing canvas.
It takes at least a half gallon to treat Touche's two biminis (forward and aft)
and the mainsail cover. I lay the mainsail cover out flat on the pier for
spraying.
I use a handy little 0.5 gallon pump sprayer like this (from Walmart) and keep
it in my dock box:

Try not to get it on the deck. No damage, just looks weird when the dew and
rain beads up in random spots.
