I put the dripless on, I think in '91. Haven't thought about it much since then.
I suppose if they have any drawbacks, it could be that you tend to forget about them. I think have re-compressed the hose twice, once when I changed the engine, shaft and tranny in '95 and maybe once since then. No drips. Then, if this was indeed so, traditional vs. dripless? What are the recommendations this time around?
