The “newer” C&Cs come with some nice stuff -- carbon masts, sprits, nice, roomy
accommodations belowdecks, e-glass hulls – and now, like the “older” boats, the
manufacturer is out of the picture. I have a ’05 110 and have been racing on
another 110 for the last five years. Seriously considered a 99, which I thought
was a really “big” 32-footer with an amazing cabin for a boat that size. We
were in a 5-mile long drag race to the finish with a 99 while racing this
summer and I can attest that they were as fast as our 110, at least on that
day! If you go toward a “newer” C&C, think seriously about a sprit boat. You’ll
never go back to the complexity of a symmetrical once you’ve sailed an asym.

Yes, I also have to put a plug in for the "new" C&C's. The 110 is also a great
option if you're willing to stretch the size and dollars. As others have
pointed out, there is a big difference between asking and selling price. The
new boats have a tough market - racers want a J, more casual sailors are happy
with a Beneteau. Makes for interesting negotiations. The older C&C owners are
becoming unique in their desire for a boat that can race on Wednesday and
cruise on Saturday. Construction on the newer boats is worlds ahead of
Beneteau, woodwork is worlds behind older C&C's. They do move however.

Have sailed on a 99 numerous times. Is a great boat.

I am opened for C&C 99 but there are few and far between.
As for 33-II the admiral would prefer something newer than the 80's, which I do
not oppose :)
Kind regards,

Not that many of my desired size/vintage on Yacht World in North America.

How do they sail?
