Joel,
After you get done flogging on the fitting it will probably be a chunk
of junk metal. You might save yourself aggravation by R/R the fitting.
If its corroded now it isn't going to get better. Might be time to
replace the hose since your are in the area. It's probably that ribbed
hose that saves some of the crap during pump out anyway. Good luck.
