I have never sailed a cat like those in the charter fleets, but we did inspect
the interior of a Sunsail cat in Tortola. They resemble a floating hotel. The
creature comforts certainly are superior to those in a monohull.
If you have crew who do not handle heeling well, a cat is a great solution.
They also allow you to anchor in extremely shallow water, just steps from the
beach, for a picnic lunch.

I have friends who are hardboiled monohull sailors but will only vacation in a
catamaran...
But the only way you are going to find out whether it will spoil your
experience is to try it :-)
