We have chartered from Sunsail, TMM and Footloose about 5/6 times over the
last 15 years or so. I was very happy with all of our trips, but they were
different experiences. Footloose was a great lower-budget option when
needed; my sister-in-law used to work for Sunsail, so that was the obvious
choice then and TMM had the right boat selection at a good price when we
went last in 2010. That boat selection (a Jeanneau 42i with 7' draft for
four of us) sailed very nicely indeed, much better than the Beneteau
Cyclades lineup available at the time from other companies. It doesn't
look like TMM have updated their Tortola fleet very recently because the
boat is still there...

In terms of monohull vs cat, I think there's a Gunboat charter if you have
the $$$'s, but otherwise you'll be happier sailing a monohull and, unless
there's two of you in the master cabin on a 40' boat, sleeping on a cat.

BTW, the highlight of our last trip was spending a couple of days in
Anegada - completely different to the rest of the BVI's.
