We have a pair of these 'toe rail folding cleats' as well. Easy to
install, easy to use .....and you can use bigger lines with these that
might be a tight fit in the toe rail.

*Subject:* Stus-List where to secure spring lines
This summer we have leased a slip at a fixed dock. The slip is 34' X
14.5' with 3 pilings on each side. At times there is an incredible
amount of surge and the boat just bounces back and forth putting a lot
of strain on the dock lines. We have doubled bow and stern lines and
have bow and stern springs. The only midship cleats on a C&C 37 are
on the coach house and don't seem appropriate to take this kind of
strain. Currently the spring lines are wrapped around the turnbuckles
then taken up to the coach house cleats but we are worried about the
strain on the turnbuckles. Yes, there is chafing gear everywhere. Is
there a better place to secure the spring lines? Could you share some
of your cumulative wisdom? Other than getting a new slip, that is.
