the purchase price for my 39 TM (with diesel engine and Kenyon 300 wind
instruments, etc) was USD 54,200.00 delivered to the original owner in Mount
Clemons, MI on 6 April 1974. I bought the boat on 1 Dec 1974 for USD
53,000.00 complete including the broker's 10% commission plus USD 1,500.00 for
shipping for Savannah

Steve,
I don't have the original invoice right here in front of me, it's on the
boat, but I believe that my 1976 38' costs the previous owner right at 38K
as delivered. He didn't put a lot of options on it so that was pretty close
to the base price.

Subject: Stus-List What did our 70's/80's boats cost new?

I know what a modern 30ish footer costs new, but what did our C&Cs cost
back in the 70's and 80's? Some of the brochures have that info but most
don't. How were C&Cs positioned price-wise compared to the competition?
Just curious.
