As long as you are in Mystic, the Mystic Aquarium is also a great stop.
I believe they have a deal on a combined admission to both that is good
for two days. The restaurants we like most in Mystic are Alfred Packer
Inn, The Seahorse, and for a truly great breakfast, Kitchen Little,
which is located in a marina, and is on the second floor with panoramic
views of the River. They even have an outdoor balcony with seating under
an awning. The restaurant on the grounds of Mystic Seaport Museum, which
was formerly awful, changed operators about a year or two ago. We
haven't tried it yet, but the people who took it over had another place
that was top shelf.

I've got a wedding to attend this Saturday in Middletown, CT with my
wife and daughters. We're staying through until Tuesday, and I've
been looking into some fun stuff to do/see on Sunday and Monday. I've
already got the Mystic Seaport on the list (maybe Monday, as Sunday
will probably be busier?); and one other possibility would be to take
the fast ferry from New London to Block Island for the day.
Any listers in the area have other ideas for activities or restaurants
(seafood!!!) in the immediate area for us? We probably won't have the
time to go out on someone's boat (as much as I'd like to), and
wouldn't want to be the victim of weather in that case.
