He probably had his lines out more than 100 yards.... I keep running into the boats with the little planes which keep the lines out about 50 feet from the boat on each side and 100 feet behind. The damn things are at water level and the little flags they are supposed to have hardly ever show.... Gotta give them a lot of room.
We are sailing in a Star regatta over the weekend. They invited the sport boats - should be interesting! No, Penniless doesn't qualify as a sports boat, but the J-80 I race on does.
