I believe C&C used a couple of variations on panel lighting.

Mine has a circuit board on each panel section, the board has a quantity of 8 LEDs mounted to it and resistors to step the voltage down, this board is stuck to the panel with double sided tape and the LEDs poke through holes in the panel (with plastic inserts in the holes). On mine a couple of LEDs had failed, I have replaced them with LEDs from Radio Shack. The problem with these is that unless you replace them all you will end up with different light intensities - which is what I have. Doesn't bug me much, but a bit.

There are also LEDs in plastic inserts, with wires attached. The ones Blue Sea sells are an example of that, but there are a zillion possibilities. The blue sea ones are smaller diameter inserts than C&C used, so if that is your route you will have to look for a larger diameter LED such as Ken identified.

Also note, LEDs do not work at 12 volts, they run at significantly lower voltages - 1.5 to 2 volts often. So for them to work in this case they have to have built in some sort of resistor to cut the voltage down. In the case of my panel that is what the resistors on the circuit board are for. I've seen panels where a resistor is installed to the wire lead off of a panel insert, and covered in shrink tubing. And some LEDs have it built into them.

If you can navigate the filters I would bet you can find the LED you need at Digikey, cheaper than most sources.

Have a look at these, they come in two sizes. I haven't tried them but they look about right.

LED Indicator Lights

Use these small LED indicator lights in your custom dash insert for turn signals, high beams,

 or power indicators.

They are available in two sizes and four colors. 5/32" round LEDs mount in 0.156" hole.

1/4" round LEDs mount in a 0.250" hole. Choose red, green, amber, or blue colors.
