What is the feeling about adding a fan in the refer to distribute cold air?
My cold plate is in the freezer. Cold air feeds to the refer thru
thermostatically operated louvers. It seems to work ok, but could I gain
some efficiency with a fan?

Just an observation: if the unit us not well fed with cool air, it will
work harder and will use more electricity.
