Joel,

I have two fluxgate sensors. One for the KVH Sailcomp and one for the
Raymarine autopilot. The KVH came with the boat and has the best sensor
position, low in the boat and just to the port side of the mast. I'm not
sure if I would want to place the other sensor in the same compartment.
They're sensors, not magnets, so it SHOULDN'T matter. My other best option
is to put it in the starboard hanging locker, which is a good fore/aft
position, but more to the starboard side of the boat. I'll see how much
wire I have to work with.

Right now I need to finish the bottom paint, put on some Poli-Glow and get
launched on Tuesday next week.

Jake,

Sorry, thought you said it was in the quarterberth. Any chance the bilge
pump is coming on and screwing it up? I can't think of anything else close
unless you have an electric head.
