I would second Bob's comments. I used buytl tape on aluminum framed windows on the Catalina I used to own and would never use anything else in that type of application. However, the reason it works so well is that it is not adhesive, so you can get the windows off again to adjust the seal if necessary. It definitely won't work if that is the only thing holding the window on.
