Even though I love my boat if someone offered me 44 k I'd think seriously
about selling. I don't think I could get more than 35 for her. I hope the
owner gets his price!

A sailing colleague is entertaining an offer on his 35 mk-3, moored at

And it is nicely fitted out for cruising with full canvas, cabin heat,

windlass.

He owned her for two years and says it's the quickest twenty grand he has

Anyone we know? It's hard to tell based on the specs whether this is a bare
hull, or the quick to sell model with ST60's...

Eric - Right. Catalina makes different models of the same size boat for
different applications.

I never meant to insult anyone, and have a hard time believing that I did.
I'm actually very experienced in inadvertent insults.

Why, just the other day I was talking with someone who was having trouble
with the an autopilot with a cockpit mounted fluxgate compass, and as he
described the symptoms I asked "so, where were you standing? It might be
caused by the steel ring in your d*** that your wife snaps the tether
onto..."

Oh, this actually ties back into the 'harness and tether' Valentines day
gift thread...

As to knocking Catalinas, I owned two and never had a complaint. Would I
sail them across an ocean? No, but they were not made for that. They were
decent sailing boats and offered a lot of boat for the $. Also the factory
support even for a 20 year old model is great.
