Russ. Sounds as though you had a terrific time. You were on the water which
beats being in the office or lashed to the TV. All the best!

Hi Rich,
Thanks for the Christmas wishes. I did not receive the message until we
got back from our wee cruise.

We left for the Gulf Islands a bit before Christmas Day but didn't make it out
of the harbour. Too wet, too late and a gale warning posted. We spent Dec 24 &
25th on a mooring in the lee of the aptly named, Protection Island. Lots of
rain and the wind outside the harbour at 30 knots, gusts to 38. Sixty miles to
the south, we heard on the VHF weather report, wind 38 gusting to 48.
Boxing day we strolled under the abundance of christmas trees that are all over
the island. I didn't find any boaty :)
It probably would have got moldy anyway. You might not believe how damp a west
coast boat can get in a winter storm with two people aboard... unless you
summer in a place like Louisiana??.

We had a few minutes of sun today. It was nice.

        Cheers, Russ
