One 4' x 8' sheet of 3/8" thick CAST acrylic (NOT extruded), in a pleasing bronze color should do you. A plastics house will probably sell to you by the square foot; then you only need to buy what you need. They can also cut & route to your shape, and flame-polish the cut edges to avoid premature cracking.
