Can you use a pressure washer to try to remove the blockage from the
scuppers? Is likely needles or leaves from trees.

Hi,
The drains are what they are! A very bad design and unless you want to
make them bigger which means a lot of work you are stuck with the
design. I don't remember having water in the cockpit while sailing. I
checked with Kevin, another Redline 25 owner, and he says no problem
with water in the cockpit.

You may want to buy or make yourself a cockpit grate. They keep the
shoes from getting wet.

If you want to change the drains you will need to install access hatches
in the cockpit and then put in larger drains and larger drain tubes and
then you will need to drill holes in the hull and install larger
diameter through-hulls / seacocks!

In order to launch you may want to check the following:

1. make sure all through-hulls /seacocks are working, i.e. they can
be closed and opened. Check to make sure that they are bronze or
Marelon plastic. I prefer bronze.
2. The hoses need to be double clamped.
3. Make sure the halyards are not frayed and ensure that the main
halyard rope-wire splice is in good condition.
4. Make sure that your running lights work
5. You may or may not have a steaming light and if you do then it
needs to work and you will need to install one if you intend to be
motoring after dark.
6. Spare rope

7. Anchor and 200 feet of rode
8. Boarding ladder
9. You may want to check the head and holding tank to make sure
that it is in working order. :)
