When I first purchased Touche', I smelled gasoline strongly immediately after
filling the tank. On investigation, I found the inner and outer linings of the
fuel hose had separated. An apparent crack in the inner liner allowed gasoline
to seep into the space between the liners and permeate out into the after
section of the boat.
I second Alan's recommendation. Check your fuel hose. Replace it if in doubt
as to its condition. Yes I know it's expensive but so it a fire!!
While your checking important hoses, check your shaft log hose also.
For those who haven't found it, the C&C Photo Album website has a nice spring
re-commissioning checklist in the DIY section.
