Thanks Chuck, fortunately I’m past the maintenance and crosses stage. Also, moving the traveler off the cabin top isn’t an option for me right now. Consequently, I don’t have a decent location or enough space to add fine-tune purchase.

For the traveler, there are a couple swivel style cleats out there; Harken and Spinlock are a couple I’m looking at. Again, I’m wondering if anyone out there has done this and has insight on what works/doesn’t work? At the end of the day, the goal is to help the main trimmer stay out of the cockpit and still make big and little adjustments relatively easily. FYI, the wind we had in the last race was 5-10 with gust to 20 with AWA shifting between 40-90. It was all over the map and we were short handed. Having the 225# trimmer on the low side was painful. Another tip: lube everything, eliminate crosses, replace bad gear, and you'll be amazed how well things work, as is. Chuck Resolute 1990 C&C 34R Atlantic City, NJ
