Pete It helps us if you tell us which model C&C you have.that's why in an earlier post I mentioned about including you boat model and year with your signature.it's also nice to know here you sail. What do you think is wrong with the main sheet.I have some ideas on traveler options but are you wanting more purchase on the sheet or are you concerned about stoppers or what??? Don't understand what you are getting at when you say adding a swivel to the traveler cleats

The race was a looong, gusty tight to beam reach that gave the main trimmer fits. I have cabin top traveler and am thinking of adding a swivel to the traveler cleats. Also, and this is out there a bit, but has anyone ever double end the mainsheet? I currently have 6:1 mainsheet running to a winch on the port side. Other suggestions?
