A battery should fix that. When I bought my Nicro vent a few years back
it was DOA, I called them up and they immediately shipped me a new
battery without question - and it has run properly since then.

Yesterday, I lifted the Nicro vent from the forward hatch lens and
found the battery inside a sealed compartment.....it's a "C" type
rechargeable, but it is dead. However, the vent will operate/spin
during the day, without the battery, as the motor will spin under
solar power alone. I did not know there was a battery in this
unit...I think it is the Nicro 2000, an older model.
I thought it was normal for it to not operate when the sun went
down.....will now look for a battery for it.
